11–13 June 2024, New Delhi

Overview

The ‘Regional Meeting on Healthy Ageing in the South-East Asia Region" took place in New Delhi, India, from 11 to 13 June 2024. The meeting provided a platform for governments and stakeholders from the region to discuss the implementation status, identify gaps and challenges, learn from each other, and explore effective ways to collaborate and accelerate the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing 2021–2030 implementation in SE Asia Region countries.

Discussions also helped to identify the gaps and priority areas to inform the development of the Regional Strategy for Healthy Ageing 2024-2030, on which WHO and Member States of the Region will work in the coming years to improve the lives of older people, their families, and societies at large.
