Review of global influenza activity, October 2015–October 2016

Overview

This report summarizes the 2015–2016 influenza season in the temperate regions of the northern hemisphere, the 2016 influenza season in the temperate regions of the southern hemisphere, and influenza activity in tropical and subtropical regions. Where available, transmission characteristics, illness and mortality data are presented by geographic region and/or country. The report covers influenza activity data collected from October 2015 until the end of October 2016.
