Overview

This report summarizes the 2016–2017 influenza season in the temperate regions of the northern hemisphere, the 2017 influenza season in the temperate regions of the southern hemisphere, and influenza activity in tropical and subtropical regions. The report covers influenza activity data collected from October 2016 until the end of September 2017, except where otherwise noted.
