Validation of maternal and neonatal tetanus in 90% of the population of Mali

Overview

The Strategic and Technical Advisory Group for Infectious Hazards (STAG-IH) provides independent advice to the WHO Health Emergencies programme (WHE) on infectious hazards that may pose a threat to global health security.

It reviews information about new and emerging infectious diseases and ongoing outbreaks and advises on priorities for WHO’s strategies, activities and partnerships. In view of the exceptional circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, WHE remotely convened the 2020 mid-year meeting of STAG-IH on 12 June 2020, supplemented by periodic videoconferences to discuss remaining agenda items. This report consolidates and summarizes the presentations, discussions and advice from STAG-IH.
