One Health is an integrated, unifying approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals, and the environment.

This EPI-WIN digest gives an overview of why the One Health approach is so important in tackling emerging zoonotic diseases and in epidemic and pandemic preparedness and response. Also covered is how the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the One Health approach for key organizations, including the Quadripartite agencies for One Health and partners, and current issues and examples related to One Health and emerging zoonotic diseases.
