HeRAMS Burkina Faso Baseline Report 2020

Mapping the availability of health resources in the context of the humanitarian crisis in Burkina Faso

Overview

The Health Resources and Services Availability Monitoring System (HeRAMS) supports countries with the standardization and continuous collection, analysis, and dissemination of information on the functioning of the health system as a whole and more specifically on availability of essential health services and barriers to the provision of services.

This report presents the results of the first comprehensive analysis of HeRAMS data collected since its roll-out in October 2019 in Burkina Faso. It provides detailed insights into the overall functionality of the health system including availability of essential services. Moreover, the report identifies main causes of dysfunction and impediments to service delivery.
