HeRAMS Iraq Baseline Summary Report 2023
A comprehensive mapping of availability of essential services and barriers to their provision

Overview
The Health Resources and Services Availability Monitoring System (HeRAMS) aims to provide decision-makers and health stakeholders at large with vital and up-to-date information on the availability of essential health resources and services, help them identify gaps, and determine priorities for intervention.
HeRAMS has been deployed in Iraq since July 2022 and has allowed for the assessment of 4782 health facilities across the country, against 5205 health facilities targeted. This analysis was produced based on the data collected up to April 25th, 2023. While this HeRAMS deployment remains ongoing and data verification and validation continue, the analysis presented here is not final and has been produced solely to inform operations.
This report presents a high-level overview of the operational status of the health system, the availability, and barriers to essential health services. More in-depth results are available in the form of the HeRAMS Baseline Report series for Iraq:
