Report - Strengthening data quality to support safety monitoring of medicinal products used during pregnancy and breastfeeding

The hybrid webinar is entitled “Strengthening data quality to support safety monitoring of medicinal products used during pregnancy and breastfeeding” and will discuss different activities aiming at strengthening safety monitoring of maternal and newborn outcomes. 

More specifically participants will be informed about activities aiming at addressing the lack of data quality by: 

• supporting harmonization of definitions and methods used when monitoring maternal and newborn health; 

• leveraging and improving existing data sources with a particular focus in collection processes: electronic clinical records, as well as pregnancy exposure registries; 

• discussing requirements to improve completeness in reporting safety events following medicines or vaccines administration.
