WHO Health-Security Interface Technical Advisory Group (HSI-TAG), Report of the annual meeting 2024

Overview

The HSI-TAG held its annual in-person meeting in Geneva on 9–10 July 2024. This meeting was convened to review the progress and advance the work of WHO and the Health-Security Interface Technical Advisory Group (HSI-TAG). During the two-day meeting, HSI-TAG members met with WHO Headquarters Secretariat, WHO Regional Office focal points, representatives from the relevant WHO advisory groups and other UN and international partners (The International Criminal Police Organization [INTERPOL], World Organisation for Animal Health [WOAH], Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons [OPCW] and the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs [UNODA]) to discuss global and regional perspectives and priorities on deliberate event (DE) preparedness and Response strategies. The group also discussed the norm and standard setting work of WHO, country support and monitoring and evaluation of impacts at the country level.
