Programme Reviews
Overview
The South-East Asia Regional Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (SEAR-ITAG) recommends that each country should conduct periodic joint national-international programme reviews in addition to its own regular internal programme monitoring. Such reviews have three broad objectives:
- to provide a snapshot to public health programme directors and public health policy makers on the status of the EPI and VPD surveillance
- to assess progress in meeting key national, regional and global goals and
- to provide an opportunity to share lessons learned with other countries sharing the same goals for preventing and controlling vaccine preventable diseases.
