Background
WHO’s Global Action Plan on AMR outlines the need for effective, rapid and appropriate diagnostics to guide the optimal use of antimicrobials. Diagnostics and laboratory surveillance are a key element in combating AMR as their appropriate use can ensure the right treatment delivery. Diagnostics, through the provision of information, data and results ensure appropriate and responsible Antimicrobial Stewardship.
This webinar will discuss the importance, role of diagnostics and laboratory surveillance approaches and programs within an overall Antimicrobial Stewardship function.
