6 July 2023 10:30 – 12:00 IST

To support the implementation of the Regional Roadmap for implementing the Global Action plan on Physical Activity and for further advocacy and exchange on the promotion of physical activity (PA) in SEAR member states, this year a series of 3 webinars will be hosted.  The first one took place on 6 July and brought SEAR member states together to discuss the regional roadmap and status of PA policy implementation in the region. Four countries (Bangladesh, India, Portugal, Sri Lanka) shared examples and experiences of actions from the 4 policy domains: active society; active environments; active systems and active people.

The second webinar was hosted on 14 September and highlighted concrete ways of increasing physical activity in (pre)schools and discussed practical solutions to overcome the challenges that are perceived regarding the implementation of school-based physical activity programmes.
