Strategies, guidance and tools

Contributing to WHO’s normative role by producing strategies, guidelines, tools, and standard operating procedures (SoPs) for risk mitigation of priority high threat pathogens and other biological hazards of epidemic and pandemic potential. It provides technical support to Member States to prepare for mitigating risks of priority infectious hazards. This includes strengthening contingency plans of priority infectious hazards under national action plans of public health security (NAPHS) or their equivalent, health operations with emergency operation unit (EMO) and support for EMO to deploy technical experts to the field in areas relevant to the IHM mandate.
