Health Accounts Course - Module 1: Introduction
Module 1 is the introduction to the course, with the objective of providing an overview of what can be obtained from health accounts from a very basic ground, for those not yet acquainted with HA.
The Submodule 1.1, “Policy relevance of Health Accounts”, describes what HA offer and brings up some country experiences using the results of HA for the design of policies and reforms of the health systems.
The Submodule 1.2, “What are Health Accounts?”, explains HA, introduces the System of Health Accounts, provides an overview of the HA production process.
The Submodule 1.3, “Other Resource Tracking Initiatives”, presents a comparison between HA and other frameworks for tracking health expenditure and other resources.
