Essential Programme on Immunization
The Essential Programme on Immunization aims to strengthen vaccine programmes, supply, and delivery, and ensure universal access to all relevant vaccines for all populations across the life course.

In response to countries’ urgent need for having an updated cold chain inventory data during  COVID-19 pandemic, the WHO developed a web-based application called the equipment inventory and gap analysis (IGA) in 2020. It was officially launched in December 2021. IGA is a real-time, dynamic, simple, and practical tool for updating countries cold chain equipment inventory using simplified web-based and mobile-based data collection platforms.  It works both on computers, and Android or iOS (apple devices). There is also an offline version for data collection for use in areas without internet connectivity.  The tool can be customized by countries to address their specific needs and objectives. Countries have full ownership of their data, which is stored in a cloud server. It is available in different UN official languages and can be further translated to other languages.
