WHO’s Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) programme work aligns with other programme areas within the Management of Noncommunicable Diseases (MND) unit through focusing on strengthening and promoting cost effective interventions for managing CVDs like hypertension, acute coronary syndrome and stroke.

WHO's Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) programme is updating WHO guidance for the management of dyslipidaemia for the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease.
The guidelines are being developed following the WHO handbook for guideline development. Brief biographies of the proposed Guideline Development Group for the management of dyslipidaemia for the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease can be found here.
