- Many people burn wood, charcoal and dung for heating and cooking which pollute the air they breathe
 - Air pollution causes diseases, such as pneumonia and cancer
 - Air pollution can be within people's homes or outdoors
 - The use of clean fuels, clean cookstoves and heaters can reduce air pollution
 - Governments should make sure people can access fuels that are clean, and get clean cooking and heating systems
 - There are human rights related to affordable and clean energy, for example:
 - Right to an adequate standard of living
 - Right to enjoy the benefits of scientific progress and its use
