HeRAMS Ukraine status update report October 2024: Operational status of the health system

A comprehensive mapping of the operational status of health service delivery units

Overview

The Health Resources and Services Availability Monitoring System (HeRAMS) aims to provide decision-makers and health stakeholders with vital, up-to-date information.  This system is dedicated to monitoring the availability of critical health resources and services, thus playing a crucial role in identifying existing gaps and establishing intervention priorities.

Operational since November 2022, HeRAMS Ukraine supports decision-makers in identifying immediate healthcare needs while also contributing to long-term planning and recovery efforts. The current report provides an update on the status of health facilities across Ukraine, specifically focusing on the availability of essential services and the challenges impeding their delivery. The findings presented in this report are based on data reported as of 30 September 2024, covering 11 639 health facilities across government-controlled territories. As this HeRAMS deployment remains ongoing, including data verification and validation, the analysis presented here is not final and was produced solely for the purpose of informing operations.

This is the first report of the HeRAMS Ukraine status update report October 2024 series, focusing on the operational status of health facilities, including the level and type of support provided by partners and the availability of basic amenities.
