Self-Help Plus (SH+) online orientation course
This two-hour orientation course is designed for mental health professionals and programme coordinators interested in delivering Self-Help Plus (SH+). See below for an overview of the course modules.
For a brief introduction to SH+, along with videos demonstrating how it is delivered, see modules 1 and 2 (25 minutes in total).
Self-Help Plus (SH+) is an evidence-based, five-session stress management course for groups of up to 30 people. It is delivered using pre-recorded audio and an illustrated guide (Doing What Matters in Times of Stress) to teach stress management skills.
This orientation course provides an introduction to the key features of SH+ and its delivery. By the end of the course you will understand how SH+ works and how to begin using it. For mental health professionals the course is the first step towards self-training as a competent SH+ facilitator. The course is not suitable for people without prior experience and training in delivering psychological interventions, where a SH+ training is required.
If you have accessed the orientation course, we would like to hear your thoughts. Please consider completing our optional feedback form.
