WHO Collaborating Centres Forum
In the face of global health challenges, global actions and support are now more crucial than ever. The WHO Western Pacific Region, with the support of WHO Collaborating Centers, is focused on supporting Member States to address these interconnected social and economic challenges.
The support of WHO Collaborating Centres enhances WHO’s capacity to assist Member States to accelerate progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Universal Health Coverage.
In the Western Pacific Region, 190 WHO collaborating centres operate across 10 Member States. These well-resourced national institutions form an international collaborative network and are instrumental in effectively implementing WHO’s programmatic mandates and advancing its technical work.
The WHO Collaborating Centres Forum serves as a vital platform for the institutions to solidify collaboration and forge strategic partnerships with the Organization, ultimately leading to innovative solutions for intricate public health issues.
The Forum promotes convergence of information, ideas, and resources to develop innovative and responsive strategies for integrating health into families, communities, and societies, in a rapidly changing socioeconomic and environmental conditions impacting public health.
