Entry requirements

Participants are required to have a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry to Viet Nam, and an entry visa, if required. Nationals of some countries and areas may enter Viet Nam and stay up to a certain period of time without a visa.

Exemption of Entry Visa to Viet Nam

In case a visa to Viet Nam is required, please provide the following information:

  • Name of traveller
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Passport number
  • Date of issuance
  • Date of expiry
  • Vietnamese Embassy/Consulate for visa collection

The visa application will be supported by WHO and the process would take at least 7 (seven) working days for visa authorization to be obtained. Once visa authorization is granted, traveller is informed accordingly to apply and collect such visa at the indicated Vietnamese Embassy/Consulate.

Visa upon arrival is granted in very exceptional cases and the process would take at least 10 (ten) working days. Travellers are therefore advised to obtain a visa at their closest Vietnamese Embassy/Consulate prior to travel.

Customs

Visitors may enter Viet Nam with a laptop and other IT equipment for personal use.

Arrival

Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh city is the main gateway to Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam. The airport is about eight kms to the hotel.

Transportation to/from the hotel

It is about eight kilometres from Tan Son Nhat international airport to the hotel, with around 30 minutes by car.

WHO will assist all participants upon arrival at the Tan Son Nhat International airport and provide transport to designated hotels. Participants should look for the WHO logo signage and WHO staff wearing blue T-shirts with WHO logo at the arrivals area. If flight plans change after registering online, participants should provide updated itineraries to WHO for rescheduling airport transport.

Departure

WHO will provide transportation from designated hotels to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for departing flights. Upon reconfirmation of flights, travellers will be provided with a transport flyer indicating arrangements for transport to the airport. A WHO transport service will be available until 24 November 2018 (Saturday).
