Subject: suspension of 2024 call for application for CTF2 support
Dear Codex Contact Points of countries eligible for the Codex Trust Fund (CTF),
As you will know, the CTF relies on the regular flow of donor contributions to ensure its continued operation and to support activities at beneficiary country level.
As we have been navigating a more challenging resource mobilization environment, in 2024 there are insufficient funds available to add further CTF2 country projects to the trust fund’s portfolio.
It was therefore decided that the trust fund will suspend the 2024 call for applications for CTF support and focus on the support of ongoing projects as well as the projects awaiting implementation, including those technically approved from application Round 8
The CTF is working with donor partners to resolve these shortcomings. We hope to be able to issue another call for application soon, once this is viable and sufficient funds have been secured to ensure the funding of new projects. We will inform you once this is the case, and in the meantime ask for your patience and thank you for your understanding.
